Office365 migration information for DoM faculty

About Us, Faculty
Update

Important information for Department of Medicine faculty members regarding the Office365 migration:

The University of Toronto is in the process of moving to Office365. The time has now come to move the accounts of faculty members in the Department of Medicine.

If you are still using a U of T student account ending in @mail.utoronto.ca, you need to activate your faculty email address ending in @utoronto.ca in order to access Office365.

In order to claim your faculty email address, please go to utorid.utoronto.ca and click on "Add Email Services". This will add the @utoronto.ca email to your inbox. It will NOT delete the emails associated with your @mail.utoronto.ca address.

Once you have claimed your email address, please email dom.academicappts@utoronto.ca to be added to the transfer list.

If you have not yet activated your unique University of Toronto ID (UTORid), you will need to do so to access Office365.

A UTORid is needed to access your @utoronto.ca email address and the full features of Office365. It is also needed to access numerous other U of T systems, such as MedSquares.

To activate your UTORid you will need the UTORid letter containing your Secret Activation Key. This was sent to you when you first received your faculty appointment. If you do not have this letter we can provide it to you.

Once you have activated your UTORid, please email dom.academicappts@utoronto.ca to add you to the transfer list.

The deadline for claiming your email address and/or activating your UTORid for this transfer is September 17th, 2018. If you’re unable to meet this deadline please contact dom.academicappts@utoronto.ca.
