Learning objectives:
At the end of the presentation, participants should be able to:
- Describe fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) for the treatment of C. difficile infections
- Summarize methods of donor selection and administration of FMT
- Recognize challenges to safe and widespread implementation of this therapy.
- Consider how manipulation of gut microbiota may have a role in the pathophysiology and treatment of non-GI diseases.
