Learning objectives:

At the end of the presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) for the treatment of C. difficile infections
  2. Summarize methods of donor selection and administration of FMT
  3. Recognize challenges to safe and widespread implementation of this therapy.
  4. Consider how manipulation of gut microbiota may have a role in the pathophysiology and treatment of non-GI diseases.
