Palliative Medicine Teaching Award

The award is given annually to one resident who exemplifies outstanding clinical teaching and commitment to educational excellence. The resident must be enrolled in a training program within the Division of Palliative Medicine at the University of Toronto leading to certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or completion of Clinical Fellowship training.  Applicants must be nominated by two learners, including medical students or residents for whom they served as a clinical teacher.

Brian Morrison Graduate Memorial Award in Palliative Medicine

Through a philanthropic gift made by family and friends of the late Brian Morrison, the University of Toronto (U of T) has established the Brian Morrison Graduate Memorial Award in Palliative Medicine, with the purpose of supporting and advancing scholarship in palliative medicine. Under the direction and supervision of an advisory committee within the Faculty of Medicine, overseen by the Chair of the Department of Medicine and the Palliative Medicine Division Director, one annual award will be available to a resident or fellow in the Department of Medicine who has demonstrated special interest and scholarly achievements in the field of palliative medicine.
