We are writing to announce that Dr. Antonio Strafella will be stepping down as Research Lead, after 6 years, with the Division of Neurology at the University of Toronto effective June 30, 2022. As such we are inviting applications from the faculty for his successor as Research Lead with the Division of Neurology. The incoming Research Lead will be an Associate or Full Professor and the academic position of Clinician-Scientist, Clinician-Investigator or Clinician in Quality & Innovation and must hold a faculty appointment at the University of Toronto with a minimum of 5 years into their academic appointment and based at any of the fully-affiliated academic sites or research institutes.
The successful candidate will be dedicated to excellence in research, an effective mentor with experience in grant writing, research supervision of students (residents, fellows, graduate students), publications in peer-reviewed journals, and participation in peer-reviewed grant committees (national and/or international). The candidate will be expected to maintain and lead the growth of research in the Division of Neurology. The person will also be an active member of the DON executive meeting and is expected to meet monthly.
The term for the Research Lead is five years, and may be renewed once.
