We are pleased to announce that Dr. Adam Slomer has accepted a full-time appointment as Lecturer, Clinician-Teacher, in the Division of Emergency Medicine, Department of Medicine.

Dr. Slomer is currently staff in the emergency department at University Health Network (UHN). Dr. Slomer completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Toronto. During his residency, he also completed one-year advanced training in Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS). In addition, Dr. Slomer had also started his Medical Education at the University of Dundee.

Dr. Slomer's focus is in providing excellent clinical care as an emergency physician with a particular interest in medical education and knowledge translation of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). Dr. Slomer is currently one of the leads at UHN for ED POCUS. He hopes to develop a comprehensive curriculum for residents in emergency medicine at UofT involving ultrasound related procedures. He will help organize and facilitate trainees and staff physicians to have access to POCUS research and the skills needed to utilize that research into the clinical setting. Dr. Slomer has already started publishing in the area of POCUS and hopes to increase his scholarly focus in this area.
